The Reality of a Birthday Celebration at Home
Let's talk Real!
House needs to be put together nicely, ahead of time, before and after guests arrive and depart.
Older kids might hang up together and, accidentally, leave fingers printed with chocolate on walls, smash finger foods on the floor, while you still have to hold your baby or pass baby from one pair of hands to another while giving attention to guests. Not considering those guests who stay longer chatting for hours after party has ended and Mom still needs to give baby a bath and start normal routine.
Depending on the weather during different times of the year:
Birthday parties cannot be handled at a local park.
Your local clubhouse might not be accessible, when not reserved in advance.
You will have an entire house to clean up and make it yours again.
Grandparents, and family members, who live abroad might not be able to be present and help out with post party cleaning or babysitting.
Birthday Celebration at the Photography Studio
According to my own experience, there is nothing better than collecting amazing birthday celebration portraits off a photography studio! This is one of the big reasons I offer these sessions. I have been, many times, on your shoes and if I could go back in time, a studio celebration would be my go-to experience. I confess that I would still put together a small cozy party at home with a lot less details or simply elaborate a beautiful picnic or take coordinated cupcakes and disposable decor to the zoo and make the best of it!
What I would not give up is that amazing album off an amazing worry-free Cake Smash Session! Tangible items that are guaranteed to bring me smiles for a lifetime!
Before the Cake Smash Session
Before smashing begins, baby wears parents' favorite outfit for stunning heirloom portraits.
I have different props available for this particular moment of the Smash Session. Mom and I will choose the most adequate prop for baby's comfort and well-being. This is a very important step that makes baby safe and comfortable for adorable expressions!

During the Smashing Moment!

This portion of my workflow is so much fun for the baby, who gets to play with textures by smashing or not the beautiful cake.
Regardless, what executive decisions, baby makes, the outcome of this #babyphotosession is particularly incredible and sweet!

Most of my studio sessions include the Splash Bath "Spa" Experience!
When baby realized there is real water... basically, no one can stop the cutest interactions about to come!
The water is comfy lukewarm, mom approved, that brings a cozy sensation and makes baby happy.
Baby goes back home smelling like a great day at the spa! We use baby approved soap #avenobabyshampoo or #johnsonandjohnsons baby shampoo to bring this moment into reality.
Parents are welcome to provide their own shampoo, according to each family's preference or needs.

Cake Smash Sessions are available every day at 10:30 a.m.
We require at least two days, ahead of time, so your cake can be ordered from our local bakery. Parents are welcome to provide the cake of their dreams as well.
